Derrin House is situated in a quiet residential area close to the bustling town centre of Larne. A beautifully appointed Grade A Guest House, Derrin has been awarded 3 Diamonds by both the RAC and the AA. The Mills family has been welcoming guests since 1964 and has won many awards from the Ulster Tourist Development Association over the years. They were also 'Highly Commended' in the Galtee Irish Breakfast Awards in 1994. 1997 British Airways tourism awards finalist. An exquisitely decorated breakfast room is the ideal position to relax and choose from the a la carte menu, printed in several languages. A bright airy lounge for guests is the perfect place to meet others. The accommodation includes; Two double rooms with en suite facilities Two family rooms with en suite facilities One twin room with wash-hand basin Two double rooms with wash-hand basins Derrin has a full Fire Certificate and a private car park for the use of guests. All bedrooms have colour television and tea/coffee making facilities. Derrin House is perfect as a base for touring the Glens of Antrim and the Antrim Coast, and is only a few minutes drive away from the P&O Ferry Terminal at Larne Harbour. The Belfast Ferry Terminals for Seacat and Stena Line are only 30 minutes drive away. Guests can use the facilities in the new town Leisure Centre or visit the Historical Centre in town. Squash courts, bowling green and tennis courts as well as four golf courses are also easily accessible. Daily bus services are available along the Coast and a train service is close by for those who wish to go to Belfast or further afield. Derrin House is situated just off the A2, Antrim Coast Road. Going north it is the first left turn after the traffic lights going out of Larne. |
