Evergreen is just one mile from Malahide a modern yet historical seaside village on the outskirts of Dublin. Malahide's Velvet Strand beach is still unspoilt, with a rocky coast road leading onto it.

Malahide Castle was established by the Talbot family in the late 12th century and it remained the family residence until 1973 when the last Talbot died. The central core of the castle is a three storey tower house which retains much of its original character. The principal rooms are open for public view daily. Surrounding the castle is an extensive wooded estate which is also host to a wide range of sporting and leisure amenities.

Malahide also boasts Ireland's newest and most modern Marina in well-managed, secure and beautiful surroundings with outstanding club services in the Marina Boat & Yacht Club.

Malahide Golf Club is situated at two locations. One of 27 holes at Beechwood, The Grange, Malahide and also on the Coast Road, a magnificent par three course. Henry Hopkins, an accomplished golfer, plays at the local Malahide golf course. He has extensive knowledge of golfing in Ireland generally and this is put to good use for visitors seeking information about the different courses.

Evergreen is 10 minutes drive from Dublin International Airport and 20 minutes from Dublin Car Ferry and Dublin city centre, The DART ( the Dublin Area Rapid Transport railway) and bus will take you directly to the city centre. Evergreen house is within a 40 minutes drive from the stone age passage tombs of Newgrange and Powerscourt and Glendalough in Wicklow.
