As soon as you enter the reception area, you will feel the old-world charisma affecting you. From the wonderfully sculptured ceilings to the majestic staircase, you will be aware of a tradition of style and elegance. The home itself is listed in Burke's notorious "Irish Houses" and dates from the late eighteenth century, although the history of Finnstown can be traced as far back as Norman times. This wonderfully revitalized mansion is surrounded by mature grounds and lawns and stunning tree-lined walks. Finnstown Country home Hotel provides its customers an uncompromising level of service, combining a personal touch with effortless efficiency. With our level of dedication, we can promise all our customers an idyllic visit in the utmost comfort. |

I chose this hotel as I am disabled and as I stayed here before, it suits my needs and that of my carer. Compared to last year, I found every aspect of this stay excellant and they did everything possible to make my stay as comfortable as possible. For example, they put an extra bed in the room for my carer and breakfast was brought to our room, with no extra charge, daily at 9am. There was also a second room which had a kitchenette, TV, couches, table and chairs and french doors onto a lovely patio with Gazebo and peacocks that come right up to your door! As this visit was purely to visit my father, who is in a retirement home nearby, and my aunt and uncle, we did not have time to enjoy the hotel's facilities or the pool, sight-seeing etc. So I would have no hesitation in recommending this Hotel for disabled or able bodied people. P.s. hotel is situated near the M50 and is only 1/2 hour into city. Only a short drive to the Dublin Mountains. There is a Shopping Centre and Shopping Mall, five and ten minutes drive away.
