Foreland Heights Guest House Description:

This family run hotel is located on a height with a marvelous picturesque sights of the vista Atlantic Ocean and the islands of Tory Island and Inishman. The glory and grandeur of the Bloody Foreland must be seen rather than described. in this place is the true spirit of Donegal - the magical beauty of the little bungalows nestling amonst the endless bed of rocks, whilst on the Atlantic side, the long arm of Bloody Foreland strikes out in the sea. This is the nearest point to America. The headland is not really as formidable as it sounds as its name is derived from the numerous red hues to be seen as the location sun sinks in the west. Down by the shore there is a holy well named 'The Well under the Hill' (the hill in question is Cnoc Fola). Twice a day the tide flows over it but the water miraculously remains constantly fresh. From the nose of the headland beyond compare seascapes may be seen to the north.

From the hotel the picturesque sights of the vista can be appreciated from the expansive living room with an comprehensive pub cuisine menu provided daily. There is a varied programme of entertainment offered in the bar, together with dancing and long established music.

All the guest rooms are with private bathroom with direct dial telephone, Television, tea and coffee facilities, with most with a commanding view over the ocean. The bistro enjoys an outstanding reputation for its cuisine and affectionate service.

There are many conveniences nearby, sandy beaches, golf courses, fishing, mountain climbing and day tours ot Tory and Arranmore Islands.

Glenveagh National Park, the Poison Glen and Ionad Cois Locha, in Dunlewey, are all less than 30 mins car ride away.
