Salthill is a seaside resort situated 3 km to the west of Galway City in the province of Connacht in County Galway, Ireland. Salthill is often thought of as a suburb of Galway, and attracts many tourists year-round. There is a 2km long promenade, locally known as the Prom, overlooking Galway Bay with bars, restaurants and hotels.
