Situated on an elevated site overlooking the heritage town of Westport, Knockranny House Hotel is privately owned and managed by Adrian and Geraldine Noonan, who personally guarantee the best in Irish hospitality and together with management and staff will endeavour to ensure guests enjoy a very memorable and enjoyable visit.

The reception, foyer and gallery are large and airy, while conservatory, lounge and drawing room offer quiet havens to admire the views, have afternoon tea or just relax in front of an open fire.

Guests can retire for the evening to one of the 57 En Suite rooms, all of which are well equipped with modern facilities.

La Fougère Restaurant offers gourmet dining in a beautifully appointed room overlooking Croagh Patrick and Clew Bay. The inspiring views from the Restaurant's bay window will complement the cuisine whatever the season.

Hotel residents have complimentary use of the Castle Club Leisure Centre, located 5 minutes from the hotel.

Westport is a superb base for holidays in the West of Ireland. Local amenities include blue flag beaches, unspoilt scenery and hill walking, horse riding, fishing, golf and watersports, and a wide range of craft and antique shops, award-winning restaurants and lively pubs. Clare Island, at the mouth of Clew Bay, is Mayo's only off-shore island with a regular ferry service. The island itself is 5 miles long and 3 miles wide and offers some breathtaking views. Soaring to a height of 2510ft, Croagh Patrick (Irelands holy mountain) is situated five miles from the town of Westport. Views of Clew Bay and the surrounding south Mayo countryside are spectacular from the peak.
