A B&B in a charming, seventeenth century old Manor home in stunning mature grounds on the shores of lake Sheelin provides an outstanding standard of luxury and cooking. This beautiful B&B has been approved by the farm house guide in Ireland. All bedrooms are with private bathroom with telephone, TV and tea-making facilities. Three rooms benefit from a conservatory and four benefit from their own open fire to complete the cozy atmosphere. A sand covered seashore next to the the lake, lake Sheelin, offers safe bathing whilst the exclusive pier with boats, plus engine, for rental provides angling in this well stocked lake to ones heart content. lake Sheelin is renowned for its outstanding catches of trout, pike and perch. But it is most prominent known for its trout fishing, especially during mayfly season. Other events obtainable on this 360 acre working farm consist of pony-trekking and horse riding, with lunging arena, with jumps set up for the more advanced riders, and tennis court. Hunting can be organized if required. In the winter season when there is no fishing, hunting on horse back is a must, of course you could additionally go out shooting for hares, rabbits and foxes. |
