Ross House Equestrian Centre Bed and Breakfast Description:

A bed and breakfast in a charming, seventeenth century old Manor House in beautiful mature grounds on the shores of Lough Sheelin offers an exceptional standard of comfort and cooking. This lovely bed and breakfast has been approved by the farmhouse guide in Ireland. All guest rooms are en-suite with telephone, television and tea-making facilities. Three rooms have a conservatory and four have their own fireplace to complete the cosy atmosphere.

A sandy beach beside the lake, Lough Sheelin, provides safe bathing while the private pier with boats, plus engine, for hire offers fishing in this well stocked lake to ones heart content. Lough Sheelin is well known for its exceptional catches of trout, pike and perch. But it is best known for its trout fishing, especially during mayfly season.

Other activities available on this 360 acre working farm include pony-trekking and horse riding, with lunging arena, with jumps set up for the more advanced riders, and tennis court. Hunting can be arranged if required. In the winter season when there is no fishing, hunting on horse back is a must, of course you could also go out shooting for hares, rabbits and foxes.
